Chipper Anderson, MS, CSCS, EP-C
Chipper Anderson is the most tenured member of the performance staff. Since joining Virginia High Performance in 2022, he has focused on restoring and advancing the physical performance of Naval Special Warfare personnel, working within a multidisciplinary model to address the demands of high-tempo operational environments.
His work often centers on individuals with complex injury histories, where performance, rehabilitation, and long-term durability must be addressed simultaneously. Chipper’s approach prioritizes rebuilding foundational movement capacity, improving tissue tolerance, and developing strength and conditioning systems that transfer directly to operational performance. He collaborates closely with other VHP providers to ensure training is aligned with recovery, medical considerations, and overall mission readiness.
He holds a Master of Science in Human Performance from Liberty University and is dual credentialed as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) through the ACSM. His work reflects a practical, evidence-based approach grounded in both performance science and the realities of the Naval Special Warfare community.

Tyler Minton, MS, RDN, LDN
Tyler Minton is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in performance nutrition for high-demand environments. A significant portion of his work is with the United States Special Operations community, where he supports operators in both training and deployed settings. His experience includes time spent in locations such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and Djibouti, where he supported both nutrition and hand-to-hand combat training, helping bridge the gap between clinical nutrition and real-world operational demands. His approach focuses on practical, field-ready strategies to support energy availability, cognitive performance, recovery, and long-term resilience.
In addition to his work with Special Operations, Tyler provides performance nutrition support to professional athletes across the UFC, NFL, MLB, and NBA. His work with athletes centers on optimizing body composition, fueling performance, and managing the demands of training and competition throughout the year.
Tyler holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama and has nearly two decades of experience in the field.
